Congratulations! Dr.-Ing. Patrick Herre
The PhD defense of Mr. Patrick Herre took place on 20. Dec. 2018 at the Institute of Particle Technology. For his work on “Deformation and breakage behavior of complex ceramic & metallic microparticles”, he has been awarded the title Dr.-Ing. His thesis is focused on the investigation of the relation between structure and mechanical properties of (porous) ceramic and metallic particles by complementary and correlative (in situ) electron microscopy techniques. Around his topic, he has gained strong expertise in various microparticle synthesis and characterization methods as well as finite element simulations.
